Presentation
The narrator and Marion have known each other since their childhood, both are from Brittany. Marion also has Vietnamese origins, which give her body a singular beauty. Both have a passion for the sea and the ocean. The narrator, freshly graduated from the naval academy, is destined for piloting the most important vessels of the national navy; Marion, her, is a skilled swimmer who finds a sensual pleasure in devouring miles. After having roamed all seas of the Globe, on a ship for him, swimming for her, they drop anchor and start a family. But the narrator also aspires to something different; he has another passion, more and more devouring, painting. For her part, Marion spends more and more time in the water, even under the water, since she becomes a free-diving swimmer. Will the sea, which first gathered them, be at risk to separate them?
Born in 1965 in Dieppe, a publisher and a journalist, Oliver Frébourg is the author, among other novels, of Gaston et Gustave (2011 December Prize).
