Presentation
Laure is a professor of literature at the Sorbonne University in Paris. When she returns home, she looks forward to being with Vincent. Because she has never felt so close to someone, because she shares with him same angers and same admirations…
However, Laure has never seen Vincent: he is only a virtual conversation partner on Facebook! She knows everything about him, his tastes and habits. They exchange with SMS all day long. Should Vincent be slow to respond, Laure flaps, doubts and gets annoyed. She scrutinizes each words of his messages, analysing and interpreting them. They spend hours discussing via digital screens late into the night. But the virtual has limitations: five months later, an appointment is arranged. In real life, will the charm be at the rendez-vous?
Do the new communication networks like Facebook change the codes of seduction and the lover’s discourse? Stéphanie Dupays questions our time and focuses on love 2.0.
Stéphanie Dupays works as an inspector at the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs. She is the author of a remarkable first novel, Brillante.
