Lorsque Marie rencontre Antoine, c’est le coup de foudre. Passionnée et impatiente, elle s’installe très vite en couple avec lui. Sarah fréquente les mêmes soirées que son amie, mais elle en repart souvent seule, en métro. C’est là qu’elle croise Lev : elle imagine qu’il pourrait être son âme sœur. Presentation
Sarah and Marie met on the benches of the Sorbonne. Marie left Brittany to spend two years in a preparatory class in Paris. After the exams, she wants to party, hit the nightclubs, meet people and have fun! Sarah is Parisian, she still lives with her parents, and she is as discreet as Marie is exuberant and chatty. The two friends are firmly rooted in their time, and have an idealistic vision of love. When Marie meets Antoine, it’s love at first sight. To Sarah she tells the feverishness, the expectation, the impatience. Marie is enterprising and, very quickly, she lives in couple with Antoine. Sarah goes to the same parties, but she observes everyone and often goes back home alone in the metro… And it is precisely in the metro that she meets Lev, who offers her some crisps: the height of romance for Sarah!
If the two friends have two very different ways of looking at happiness and a romantic relationship, they come together in the passion of youth…
Manon Fantou is 32 years old, she is working in Paris as a lawyer. Les confidentes is her first novel.
