Presentation
When she discovers the disappearance of her daughter Adèle, 16 years old, Marion is seized with panic. Did she run away? Is it an accident? She calls her ex-husband, the police… Hour after hour, Adèle cannot be located and the anxiety is growing. Few days after, Daesh carries out a terrorist attack in the shopping mall of Les Halles, causing the death of 25 persons. Is Adèle among the victims? Tirelessly Marion calls the toll-free hotlines, the ministries, she scrutinizes the press, social networks, tracking down the least indication… Until the day when she recognizes Adèle on a photograph taken by a surveillance camera, hidden under a hijab… Then her daughter is alive, but she is a terrorist who lives in Syria. For the second time, Marion’s world is collapsing. How is this possible? How and why didn’t Marion see this coming? Stunning shock, incomprehension, and culpability. Marion needs to react quickly. The search of a mother to find her daughter who became a jihadist is just beginning…
