Aurore lives alone in Arcachon, in a villa by the sea where she dedicates herself to painting. Roland, her companion who is twenty years older than her, works in Paris and come to visit her from time to time. With him, she found a balance in her life. But, when one of her neighbours is found killed and mutilated, everything is about to swing. Then a police investigation begins and disrupts the neighbourhood and Aurore’s quiet life. She has to meet her neighbours. Behind the smooth appearance of the Bordeaux bourgeoisie are hiding familial dramas, tenacious hatred and resentment. Aurore will also discover troubling parts of Roland’s life.
