Presentation

The day Florent abandons his wife Béatrice and his three children on an impulse, leaving behind neither address nor belongings, the life of this ordinary family is shattered.
One by one, the members of the family confide in us. Quite literally « lovesick », Béatrice lets herself waste away and has to be hospitalized. The children then find themselves truly on their own : Sophie, the eldest, sinks into teenage angst, whereas Sabine reacts like an adult, taking charge and paying special attention to Sylvain, their brave little brother who secretely cries himself to sleep every night. It is Sabine who will save the situation the day she finds her father hiding in his childhood home and persuades him to overcome his shame and to come home and see them. The family may eventually be reunited again, as little Sylvain so dearly hopes, as his parents are still linked by a "long-time affection"...
Through this sadly commonplace portrait of a divided family, Anne Bragance tells a touching, vibrant story featuring some very remarkable children.
