Welcome to the wonderful world of the wedding night ! Six couples attempt to give some meaning to this special occasion but nothing goes quite as planned. Helène is terrified by a spider, Irène stays snuggled in her XXL pyjamas, Suzanne and Balthus end up trying to hitch a ride on a motorway service station, Clothilde doubles the dose of Viagra, Emma bumps down to earth when she sees Jean-Paul with his head down the toilet bowl, and Brigitte wonders quite what she's doing next to Emile wearing her sister's wedding dress. Great moments of solitude for the happy couples, but their misfortunes make for a hilarious read ! All the more because the situations are realistic and may even evoke fond memories... Astrid Eliard's black humour and her white wedding stories make a delightful combination.
